What Is the Meeting-in-a-Box Toolkit?

The City of New Rochelle is developing a Local Safety Action Plan to improve traffic safety across the community. Community input plays an important role in helping the City understand where safety challenges exist and what improvements should be prioritized.

The Meeting-in-a-Box Toolkit is a simple set of materials that allows you to host a conversation about street safety with friends, neighbors, or community members. The toolkit includes printable materials that help guide a short discussion and collect feedback about traffic safety in New Rochelle.

How the Toolkit Works

Using the toolkit is simple.

  1. Download the toolkit (zip file format)
  2. Print the materials included in the kit (you can use some, or all!)
  3. Host a short conversation with your group
  4. Collect feedback using the provided forms (scan or take photos and upload)
  5. Share the feedback with the project team (Link and QR included in the kit)

Even a small discussion can provide valuable insight that helps shape the Local Safety Action Plan. The Meeting-in-a-Box Toolkit is available in the links below in both English and in Spanish.
